Another piece of equipment that gives the abs a great workout is the Captain's Chair. The Captain's Chair basically looks like a chair that has no seat. You need to stand on this equipment with your back touching the padded chair and your hands holding onto the handles. The ab work out is performed by using your abs to raise your knees to your chest. This is considered the best flat stomach exercise because of the burn in the abs that can be achieved. It is important not to arch your back during this workout.
The cable pulley machine is a versatile machine at the gym that can be used for a variety of exercises including abs exercises. An effective ab work out that can be done on this machine is the cable pull down. While bending slightly at the hips and tightening the abs, you will pull the cable down and thereby pull the weight up. A weight should be chosen that is heavy enough to get a good workout, but not too heavy as to cause the exercise to be performed incorrectly.

Another great piece of equipment that can help you flatten fat and strengthen your stomach muscles is the inclined bench.
